During the dark early hours of 6th June 1944, the Airborne Rangers parachute down in their hundreds behind the German lines in Normandy. The huge Invasion Overlord has begun and with the purpose of ending the Hitler regime once and for all. One of these Airborne cracks is called Lt. Peter Smith and he's in one of the countless planes, eagerly awaiting the green light to jump out into the black void where the Nazis are waiting. As the green light at last goes on, the plane is hit by a stream of flak and Peter Smith is catapulted out of the aircraft just before it explodes and a chance in a million. He misses his target landing zone and sets down hard in an area that is unknown to him. Angry and spoiling for a fight he decides to carry out his platoon's mission on his own.
